A Dedicated Reading Space

Careful reading requires a calm surrounding and so you should focus on getting your child such a spot within your home. Pick a spot where your household conversations or the sound of the television does not reach. Make sure that it is airy and comfortable as well. What to do when you don’t get it?

Titles, diagrams and pictures

This would make all subsequent reading and revision more effective.

Some people are quick readers, and some might seem slow at the start. What matters is that you understand the text that you read. The time for this may vary. However, there is no need to worry if your child is a slow reader. With time and more practice reading speeds are sure to increase.
