Recent findings by the National Youth Council of Singapore reveal that the pandemic has affected their mental well-being. The study points at three major issues that cause distress – fears about their future, the possibility of a financial crisis, and the inability to access services. But this has not stopped them from being compassionate at a time it is needed most! From leading initiatives such as delivering food to the needy, to giving free tuition to graduating students, youths from all across the nation are stepping up to do their part for the society.

Academic research continues to tell us that mothers spend a great deal more time taking care of the children and the household than fathers. The most recent of these studies, conducted by economists from the Universities of Cambridge and Zurich in the month of April reaffirms this. The average mother is spending 6 hours a day on childcare and home-based schooling activities while the average father is spending only a little more than 4 hours for the same.
