The Annual Migration
But of course the sight the Mara is best known for is the spectacle of the annual migration. 
Between July and November, when water dries up further south in Tanzania’s Serengeti, hundreds of thousands of wild beast, antelope, zebra, and gazelle move towards the more fertile Mara, creating a bonanza for all the predators in the area. This is the peak tourist season as later in the year the monsoon hits!
Other Camping Activities
Other than safaris, the Mara has opportunities for camping, game drives at nights, as well as visiting local Masai villages to experience their lifestyle and the once-in-a-lifetime experience of a hot air balloon ride over the Savannah!
